01
Who is responsible?
Forge Lifts Ltd, company number 13812571, is responsible for your information. Email info@forgelifts.co.uk or call 020 7097 8588 with enquiries or privacy requests.
02
What we collect and why.
Email is the only required form field. Your name, phone number, organisation, notes, quantities, equipment requirements and site references or postcodes are optional. We use the details you provide to respond, understand the work and discuss an assessment or quotation. A complete site list can follow. The form has no file uploads.
Where you ask us to take steps towards a contract with you, we use your information for those steps. For enquiries on behalf of a business or building, we rely on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries and providing lift services. We also have a legitimate interest in protecting the website from misuse.
You choose whether to enquire. Without an email address we cannot reply through this form; further site information may be needed before a firm scope is agreed. Submitting does not sign you up to marketing. Please avoid sensitive personal information, access codes or details about passengers.
03
Who handles your enquiry?
Enquiries are sent to Forge’s company email account at info@forgelifts.co.uk, which uses Google Workspace. The website and its mail submission service are hosted by GTXGaming. These service providers process information to operate, deliver and protect the services; our team uses the enquiry to respond.
If another provider needs to be involved in your work, we discuss the arrangements with you. The form does not automatically forward enquiries to an answering service or another contractor. Provider processing may involve locations outside the UK; contact us for information about the providers and relevant transfer arrangements.
This notice covers website enquiries. Information required for work you arrange becomes part of the relevant customer, contract and service records.
04
How long we keep it.
For enquiries that do not lead to work, we delete enquiry correspondence 12 months after the last contact unless needed for an ongoing dispute or legal obligation. Accepted work, service and accounting records have different retention needs. Our team manages mailbox deletion; the website does not automatically delete email.
05
Essential cookies and security.
When you submit, the form starts an essential first-party security session. Its cookie lasts for up to 30 minutes and holds a random identifier, not your enquiry text. It helps prevent unauthorised submissions. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and the font is hosted with this website.
The form does not put enquiry details in page URLs or browser storage. Its private security store contains keyed hashes, counters, times and delivery references, rather than enquiry text. Request-rate records expire after 15 minutes; duplicate-prevention records expire after 24 hours. Expired entries are removed when the store is next processed. Hosting also processes network addresses and technical request logs to serve and protect the website.
06
Your rights and questions.
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restricted processing or a portable copy, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Rights are subject to the applicable legal conditions. Email info@forgelifts.co.uk to make a request or ask about our handling of information.
